Ukrainian integral nationalism developed without its nation-state and was, above all, a radical national liberation movement. During the 1930s, it experienced an intense “fascistisation,” which resulted in a hybrid ideology with a mixture of national liberationist and fascist elements. The most appropriate designation for such an ideological movement is proto-fascist integral nationalism in the absence of nation-state. |
