dc.description.abstract	Аналізується поняття віктимності як автодеструктивної форми поведінки, що полягає у підвищеній готовності особистості опинятись у ситуації жертви, зумовленої як реальними життєвими обставинами, так і суто психологічними чинниками, зокрема, рівнем емоційного інтелекту особистості. Висвітлюється теоретичні аспекти зв’язку рівня емоційного інтелекту з проявами віктимної поведінки та результати емпіричної перевірки даної гіпотези.	uk

dc.description.abstracten	Victimhood as a self-destructive form of behaviour is defi ned as one’s heightened readiness to assume the role of a victim, prompted by both realistic life situations as well as by basic psychological factors, specifically the person’s emotional intellect. The latter is the person’s ability to understand one’s own as well as other’s emotions. Dealing with these is a prerequisite of a harmonious and safe interaction of the individual with the environment. Article examines theoretical aspects of the relation between emotional intellect and expressions of victim behaviour and provides results of an empirical evaluation of the given hypothesis.	en
